My First Novel

Dear Something-Different-From-Me readers,
I have officially decided to write my own novel about my highschool life and those who participate in it. I have enjoyed writing ever since I was in elementary school and it was something I always thought I was good at. I decided to use those skills at writing a book or maybe even adding more books and creating a series. A person can dream right? But I'm not just dreaming, I'm making this happen.
My question for you readers is this: What advice or suggestions do you have to make on this subject? I hope to hear from you!

Invitation to Disaster

"We should hang out and maybe go to the movies sometime," I texted her.
Three hours later...
"I don't think so. I wouldn't okay? Ur just gonna (inappropriate language) me off," she replied.
Bullying occurs when a person who is insecure and has a low self-esteem harasses someone sensitive and respectful. When a person bullies you, never think it's something wrong with you, if you have nothing to be ashamed about. Bullies are unjust to others because they can't be just to themselves, and that's the BIG problem. They put down others with hurtful words, actions, and/or writing to make themselves feel better.
There are different types of bullying, but I am only familiar with three: physical bullying, emotional bullying, and cyberbullying. Physical bullying occurs when a bully, or the insecure, hurtful one, uses physical abusive methods to harm its target. Emotional bullying, on the other hand, deals with words or any other action that a bully uses to disturb its "victim." Cyberbullying is expressing hurtful words on the internet or texting them to or about someone.
In this situation, the girl that I invited used cyberbullying to respond. She could've said, "No, thanks. I'm really busy this weekend, but maybe some other time." But she put inappropriate language into the message to make it hurtful. Bottom line: this person is a bully. She may not realize it herself, but how she acts says a lot about her.
How can we avoid bullying? Well, if someone ever tries or even does bully you, be sure you stand up for yourself. Bullies will never expect that from their victims. Question their so-called "authority." Instead of me asking, "What did I do to deserve this reply," I could say, "Well, now, I don't want to go to the movies with you either, and I do not appreciate inappropriate language." Also, others will respect you more because of how you stood up to the bully. If they didn't know how to stand up to the bully before, now they do, looking at you.
Be sure to take this advice, if you ever encounter bullying. I promise you that you will never be bullied again, but if you still are, you know exactly what to do. The main thing is to do it, and do it quick, before it turns into a really BIG problem.
Good luck, and let me know how it went!
